1: Banana:

Banana is a rich source of potassium and help to keep the level of acid production in stomach in check, certain components in the fruit also help to increase the production of mucous in stomach area. Which will help to protect it from the harmful effects of excessive acid production. It is also content high fiber, which helps to speed up digestion and it’s preventing the recurrence of acidity.

Tip for relief

Eat 2 ripe banana for some relief. You can eat an overripe banana also to get relief from acidity, it contain more potassium which makes the perfect antidote.

2: Tulsi:

How it will help?

Tulsi leaves help to stimulate your stomach to produce more mucous, it has antiulcer properties and reduces the effect of gastric acids in body.

Chewing on five to six fresh tulsi leaves when you suffer from acidity, it is an amazing way to beat the discomfort you feel in stomach.

3: Cold Milk:

Milk has a high amount of calcium, it helps to prevent from acid build up and absorbs the excess acid production from stomach. The fact is cold also provides instant relief from the burning sensation one feels during acid reflux.

Have a cold milk without any additives like sugar. You can also mix it with 1 tablespoon of Cow Ghee to get a batter sleep and relief from acidity.

4: Saunf:

Saunf has a very potent anti-ulcer properties and it helps in digestion and relieves constipation. It is also helps to cool the lining of the stomach, reducing that burning sensation you feel during a bout of acidity.

Chewing a few saunf seeds can help you to reduce the symptoms of acidity, for batter result boil a few seeds of saunf in a water and leave overnight and drink this water during the day when you feel uneasy.

5: Jeera:

Jeera stimulate the production of saliva which helps for better digestion, improves metabolism and relieves gas and other gastric troubles. According to Ayurveda jeera has a calming effect on irritated stomach nerves and helps heal ulcers.

You can chew a seeds of Jeera or you can boil it in water and drink the solution when it’s cooled down.

6: Cardamom (Elaichi):

7: Mint Leaves (Pudina):

To get relief from acidity, chew a small piece of ginger. If you find that too pungent, try to boil Ginger in water and drinking the decoction. You can also crush ginger, mix it with a small piece of jaggery and keeping sucking, it will help you to improve your digestive system.

9: Amla:

Amla contains high amount of vitamin C which helps in healing the injured stomach lining and esophagus.

Have a 1 teaspoon of Amla powder twice a day to reduce acidity.
