About us

PVS Education and Rural Development Society is incepted in the year 2000 with an aim to bring Socio-economic, education and health developments among the rural and urban en mass especially targeting at down trodden, backward classes, poorest of the poor, reserved community and minorities with due focus on women and children. The Founder Secretary of the organization is Dr. P.V. Sreedhara Murthy. The Organization is having all legal entity such as Society registration under KSSR Act 1960, IT payment exemption under section 12/AA & 80(G), Permanent registration under FCRA 1976 with PAN. This has duly constituted Board of Management in which all the members are hailing from reserved community (Scheduled Caste) with due representation of female.
Now this Society is concentrating in working in the arena of promoting formal education for the benefit of interested rural and urban students to pursue with their interested job oriented studies thus established and managing the following institutions to fulfill such aspirations.
  P.V.S. School of Nursing at Chitradurga.
  P.V.S. Institute of Paramedical Sciences at Chitradurga.
  P.V.S. D.Ed. College at Chitradurga.
  P.V.S. B.Ed. College at Chitradurga.
  P.V.S. Institute of Computer Sciences at Chitradurga.
  P.V.S. School of Nursing at Haveri.
  P.V.S. Institute of Paramedical Sciences at Haveri.
To cater the needs of the out station students of the above institutions the society is also running Hostels separately for Ladies and gents in both the district head quarters towns duly charging nominal mess and accommodation fees on sharing basis.
With the support of Community / Donors / Members the Society managed to have its own institution campus in the out skirts of Chitradurga Town with due fleet conveniences for easy transport for the students. However the Haveri institutions are running in the rented building. All the institutions are in possession of experienced and qualified teaching and non-teaching staff and all amenities for the students as prescribed by Nursing Council, Para Medical Board and Department of Education with in built infrastructure.
The organization now employs 120 full time staff consisting various categories like Project Coordinators, Community organizers, Health workers, Teaching and Non Teaching staff, Paramedical staff, Administrative staff, Supportive Staff and Vehicle Drivers and about 30 Part time staff like Medical / Engineering / Program Consultants, Resource Persons, Experts and Volunteers. The source of funds for the organization is through Community contributions, Donations, Student fees, Government department support, Autonomous bodies support, like minded supporting agencies support and members support. The organization is maintaining well built net work function with net working NGOs at District, State and at National level apart from good nexus building with Financial Institutions and Government departments.
